Well, had some time and got a few things changed around. There is a huge list of stuff to do and I'll get to it as time comes along. So here's a few things.....
Brentwood VARA isn't working well again. We're going to try and get a different antenna up there as soon as we can. It won't be as high as the current one until I can get about 320' of 7/8" hardline and a bunch of people to help me hoist it up. I'd really like to get that line replaced as the site is great for VARA as well as APRS. But here we are.
Same in Fort Smith/Van Buren for VARA. A better antenna is coming and we'll hoist it up.
The "Winlink Embargo" is over now as things are calming down in the hurricane/flood areas out east. Still keep them in your prayers as they are far from "done" rebuilding. We can now use Winlink as normal.
I have a replacement antenna for the GMRS repeater in Van Buren (Fort 550). I'm going to try to get there asap.
I have built an Icecast server to stream audio for my GMRS repeaters for remote monitoring. Since they are no longer linked, I'd like to be able to monitor as needed, thus the server. All of my sites will eventually have one of these streaming computers as I make visits. There is now a page HERE.
Forrest City repeater is more or less ready and will be delivered to the site on or around the 20th. Looking forward to having that on the air for hams there to get into the statewide system/my system.
As one can see, I got way too much going on. It never ends but its the love of radio....
